Biography Producer/executive producer/series editor (mainly with BBC's ARENA programme). 1974: Joins BBC Radio as trainee studio manager after graduating from King's College, Cambridge 1978: Moves to BBC TV as research assistant trainee 1979: Starts working on ARENA, initially as a researcher. Comes up with the idea for MY WAY. Directs DESERT ISLAND DISCS and a show on the Everly Brothers. 1984: Appointed joint editor of ARENA with Nigel Finch originating themed evenings, including BLUES NIGHT, FOOD NIGHT and RADIO NIGHT. 1995: Takes sole charge of ARENA, following Finch's death
