Library Synopsis

Comedy, musical, romance. Film version of Joseph Papp's Broadway 'revision' of the Gilbert and Sullivan opera. On his 21st birthday, Frederic parts company with the pirates who raised him after his parents were killed, and pledges to go straight. He soon falls for Mabel, one of the Major-General's eight daughters, but the Pirate King has a plot to keep Frederic in his band of rogues forever.
