Library Synopsis

A screen adaptation of Max Reinhardt's stage production THE MIRACLE, the religious drama written by Karl Vollmöller, in which the Virgin Mary takes over the duties of a young nun who leaves her convent to find romance. Filmed wholly on location in the grounds of Kreuzenstein Castle and at the catheral of Pechtoldsdorf, Vienna. Reinhardt appears not to have had any direct creative participation in the film.
