Library Synopsis
Made aboard the 215,000 ton British Explorer during her maiden voyage from the Middle East with a cargo of crude oil for Europe. Whilst looking at the technical advances and complexities of a modern oil tanker, the film shows the everyday life and work of the officers and crew who comment frankly on their jobs and their attitudes towards life at sea.
