FILM HISTORY
The opening credits include the following statement: 'The producers gratefully acknowledge the assistance of Captain Grattidge, O.B.E., ex-commodore of the Cunard Line, of Commander Boxhall, who was 4th officer of the Titanic, and of many survivors who recalled their personal experiences.' The following statement appears at the end of the film: 'But this is not the end of the story - For their sacrifice was not in vain. Today there are lifeboats for all. Unceasing radio vigil and, in the North Atlantic, the International Ice Patrol guards the sea lanes making them safe for the peoples of the world.'
