Drama set in South Africa between 1989 and the present, story centres on the relationship between three women from different cultures. Sophie is an English-speaking, upper middle-class white woman whose dramatic political action causes severe ructions in her relationship with her two friends: Thoko, a black school-teacher, and Aninka, a white Afrikaans palaeontologist.
