Library Synopsis

A young girl, Sara Crewe, moves from India to a New York boarding school in 1914, because her father is called to war. Sara soon becomes popular because of the exciting stories she can tell the other girls. When her father is killed in the war Sara's teacher, Miss Minchin, banishes her from class and forbids her to speak. Sara decides to search for her father, while her neighbour has taken in an amnesiac, unknown soldier.
