Library Synopsis

Set in late 18th century rural England, the story follows the widowed Mrs Dashwood and her daughters, living in reduced circumstances. Sensible Elinor and emotional Marianne both develop romantic attachments that for a while go awry as they must meet the demands of social propriety and money.
