Library Synopsis

Australia 1956. A study of an aggressively masculine and enclosed society as epitomised by a group of sheep shearers who work together on a contract. As the job nears its end, they learn that their prosperity bonus is to be withdrawn and they decide to strike. The strike lasted for nine months and the shearers won.
