Library Synopsis

Looks at the art treasures that were taken from Germany by Stalin at the end of the Second World War. Though some were returned in 1955, the rest remained hidden in Russia. In 1991 Gorbachev agreed that the horde would be returned but attempts are now being made to legalise Russian ownership of the treasures.
