Drama series set in Ireland. Father MacAnnally decides that Father Peter needs a housekeeper and suggests that Kathleen's cousin Nora would be suitable. However when he meets her and finds her to be an attractive woman he decides against it. Brian Quigley hires her instead much to Niamh's annoyance. Very soon however Nora is taking over Brian's life and it is clear she is expecting them to become a couple and he has to resort to underhand tactics to get rid of her. Meanwhile Niamh and Ambrose are not getting on well and Peter is worried about them. Some new boys appear at the school when another one closes down, they create havoc and when they raid Kathleen's shop she calls in Ambrose. He is of no help, nor is Father Peter and in the end Niamh takes charge of the situation- leading to her getting a job helping at the school.
