Animated tale. Ten-year-old Chihiro is none too pleased that her family is moving house. On the journey the family car breaks down in a forest near a tunnel opening that seems to lead into a hill. The family investigate and find themselves on a strange plateau that contains an abandoned town. Chihiro makes her way to an enormous palace and, avoiding warnings that she should be sure to leave by nightfall, becomes trapped as darkness descends.
