Library Synopsis
The protagonist of the film is a beautiful Austrian who has an affair with Crown Prince Rudolf, marries for security, philanders mildly in her late 30's then suffers years of privation and disillusion during the war, and then she commits suicide rather submitting to Nazi tyranny.
