Examines the impact of satellite television on the South Asian region. A companion piece to the book on the same subject entitled `Satellites over South Asia' by former BBC journalists William Crawley and David Page, which was published in December 2000 by Sage Publications. Filmed in different regions of South Asia, from Peshawar, Pakistan to Kandy, Sri Lanka, and in remote villages in Bangladesh and Nepal, explores the impact of satellite television on the lives, culture and politics of the people over the last ten years. More than 200 people, including media owners and managers, television producers, government officials, academics, representatives of NGOs, and members of the public were interviewed during its production.
