Library Synopsis
Looks at the case of the murder of Brenda Schaeffer in Kentucky, USA. Her fiancee was considered the main suspect and went before a grand jury where he denied killing Brenda. However, Mary Ann Shore, who had a relationship with Mel, was shown to have lied and she finally admitted that she had filmed Mel abusing and killing Brenda. The body was found but no evidence could link it to Mel so he was found not guilty. However, subsequently video footage was found that proved he was the murderer, but he could not be tried for the same crime twice. He was found guilty of perjury though and sentence to thirteen years in prison.
