Library Synopsis

Drama set against the backdrop of the riots that took place in the Punjab during the Partition of India, the story focuses on the human aspects and relationships that took place amidst the tragedies of kidnap, rape and displacement of families. One woman, Puro, decides to change the direction of her life in the face of what the Partition did to her community. She chooses to stay back in Pakistan with her abductor Rashid even though she is given the option of returning home to India.
