Library Synopsis

Spain, 1944. At the end of the civil war, recently remarried Carmen goes to Navarra with her young daughter, Ofelia, to join her new husband, a Fascist officer ordered to rid the area of rebels. Wandering on her own, Ofelia discovers a mysterious labyrinth, guarded by Pan, an ancient satyr. He reveals that she is the princess of an enchanted kingdom, but to discover the truth she must carry out three dangerous tests.
